Today, the U.S Mint has made the announcement that collectors will again have the chance to collect the newest edition of the rare W Uncirculated Silver Eagle. The collectible version of the bullion silver eagle first entered the market back in 2006 as a part of the 20th Anniversary 3 coin set. It quickly became a highly desired issue by collectors seeking lower minted products.
Produced only in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011, this year’s issue is certain to be a big hit for collectors looking to keep their collections complete. Any collector looking for that perfect silver coin to add to their collection at a ground floor price would be ecstatic to own this issue.
For those of you that are not aware of the difference in the special minting process, the planchets undergo a blasting technique that results in a smooth matte-like finish. The coins are hand loaded into the coining press where the coins are struck multiple times on each side. The ‘W’ mint mark is also featured on all the Burnished Die coins to differentiate them from the bullion issues.

San Francisco 2 Coins Sets Started Shipping!
